Apple ID please!
I have kept meaning to ask this for months!
We have an espalier apple tree against one wall of the house and it produces smallish, red apples every year which are sweet and lovely. However, I have no idea what variety it is! When you cut into the flesh, the flesh itself is pink. Pic attached! Any ideas, please?

The only apple I can think of with pink flesh is a Discovery, Kits, but there are probably others.

Thank you both! I was thinking Discovery or Pink Lady too, but am not sure.
Val - there are a few pink fleshed apples - Red Devil, George's Red, Devonshire Quarrenden, Pink Pearl are just some I found when I googled!

Afternoon Kits,
I thought that you were able to send samples of apples to the RHS and they would do the ID for you - pretty sure that I can remember seeing this in one of my gardening videos. is this still the case - as the video is probably a few years old!! cheers |
