Brassicas

Has anyone else noticed what a good year it has been for cabbages, etc?
My swedes particularly are the best I have ever grown, some are now about 9" - 10" in dia and still growing! Both sprouts an broccoli are also really strong plants. Also I have grown Celariac again this year(is this a memember of the brassica family?) And this too is growing strongly.

They must like the weather you've been getting this year chili! More rain and/or heat than usual?

We have also had a very good crop of cabbages this year and so far no sign of damage from caterpillars.

Doing Cavolo nero for the first time and it looks good, but I won't be sowing wok broc next time, the spears are really tiny.
