Lovely pics Kits - I think the white flower is greater stitchwort (or maybe lesser?) - it's a lovely hedgerow wildflower that I remember from my childhood in rural cheshire and useful to a number of moths and other insects.

I'm not sure it really likes "damp" as this seed seller indicates though! I remember it on fairly dry banks.

Ok I've been inspired to add some pics too! There's not much around in my garden yet, but I found a few - apologies for the picture quality, I'm a rubbish shot and my camera is cheap and nasty!

If anyone can ID the plant in the fourth pic, I'd be grateful. I think it is a water-loving plant (my mum bought it for my pond margin) and it just has the first two flowers out on what looks like a long inflorescence. It's very pale lilac/blue with long straplike leaves - it's never flowered before, I think because I have it in what is now a dryish place (I've watered it madly this year because of the dry spell).

VERY NICE pictures, all of them.... I always liked Tulips but tulips won't grow down here... way to hot. Winters are not cold enough for the bulbs. Some people down here dig up the bulbs and put them in the refrigerator freezer, then in spring thaw the bulbs out and plant them.

All so beautiful - I am so jealous! All we've had are a few poor frozen crocus.. .
Is that last one a type of Agapanthus JPS?
Just a guess.
I will post some pics as soon as I get something!

You could be right there Susan, I coveted mum's agapanthus and she does love them, so it's very likely! She can't remember what it was she bought but when she sees the flowers she might recall.
