Thanks Kits - yes, I'm happy with the way things are going.

Spring and Summer should be good here as we've had heaps of rain (~ 2 inches in the last few days).

The seasonal creek at the back (which is normally dry) started flowing yesterday morning. Usually it takes a couple of days to start flowing, but as the ground is so soaked from previous rain, the run-off started straight away.

Had some good timing with the rain - had just finished replanting a hedge of plants along part of one boundary fence - originally had 20 lilly pillies which are nice shrubs, but don't like the frosts down here. Most of them get badly affected so I pulled them all out and planted Westringias - which are a native shrub more suited to here.

Good to know the rain came at the right time, Peter. So often it comes when you don't want it, or doesn't appear when you do want it. Good luck with the new hedging.

Cherry blossom just started to appear at the weekend; don't think it has ever been out on the 25th Feb before.
