Another Prunus?

Aplogies if this is getting tedious!

Another tree that is in bloom everywhere at the moment! Seen from a distance it has a subtle but distinct pink colouration compared to the ivory-white of the cherry I posted.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

No not tedious at all Chris, although I can only say that of the many Prunus flowers I have looked at over the last couple of days, there does seem to be a lot of variation within the same species. Prunus cerasifera, it appears, can have pure white flowers or white with some red/pink, as in link.

Best I can do I'm afraid. I'm away on holiday for the next two weeks with no internet access apart from my phone, so will answer any other queries when I return.

Cheers

Dave

Have a great holiday Dave, where are you off to?

Thanks again,

Chris

We are off to South Devon, hopefully to do a spot of birding and coastal walking.

Cheers
