Wildlife In The Garden.

Male & female hedgehogs, but I don't know which is which.

I don't know which is which but it is a great photo Val and a fantastic addition to the garden.

Thanks, John. I heard the male huffing, puffing & grunting, so I thought there would be two outside, grabbed camera, was about to go to bed as it was well passed midnight, pitch dark, so had to use the flash, which spooked them a bit & only took 3 pics, the one above is the best as it shows both hogs.

Lovely to see the Hedgehogs, Val. We haven't had them in the garden now for over 20 years, very sad!!

Those are cute little critters. I hope they don't damage your garden? We have groundhogs here. They are cute, but will eat your garden to little nubs.

Thank you guys.
No, BT, our hedgehogs don't damage plants, they eat garden pests, snails, slugs etc, so are good to have.

I need a dozen. I have enough slugs and snails to feed an army of hedge hogs!!!! I am so glad they are helpful because they are so cute!

No, they are only pets in North America. According to what I read about them, they are similar to moles and possums, both of which we have and neither of which you want in your garden!!!

I have seen them on animal programmes, I thought they were native to America. They are different to our native hogs.
