Lack of butterflies in my garden

Yes they are arriving at last in the garden. Yesterday a Red Admiral and what I thought was the biggest Large White I have ever seen, must have flown straight in from the nearby allotments
Also my regular visitor the Speckled Wood was I think, gobbled up by a sparrow the other day, there are loads of them here and are very boisterious and noisy.

I havent had a single one. Have seen a couple of small white ones in a friends field and also a cabbage white whilst shopping for flowers last weekend!
