Plants for my pond

I am trying to get some plants to grow in my pond to improve its appeal to wildlife. I have acquired some irises and need to know how to weight them so that they are upright, instead of floating on the surface! Perhaps a plant pot packed with soil and pebbles and covered with mesh? Any suggestions of how to get these and other plants to stay upright, please.

Welcome to Gardener's Forum from Admin and the Mods!

This link gives good advice on how to plant aquatic plants. You need special plant pots and it helps to weigh them down with pebbles in the bottom of the pot.

Good luck!
